Maritalia has a modern fleet of vehicles and a dedicated team of multilingual (French, English, Italian, Spanish) experts with years of experience. We provide our clients with a wide array of services, including airport attendance and transfers, onboarding and offboarding formalities of crew, management of visas and residence permits, vehicle rentals, medical attendance, and other travel arrangements such as hotel bookings or assistance for inland trips.
With our excellent relationship to local marine fuel and lubricant suppliers, Maritalia can ensure that your bunkering operational requirements are fully adhered to. Due to our long-term commercial agreements with local suppliers, we can guarantee that our clients benefit from competitive rates to allow for maximum fuel cost saving on their next bunker call.
Maritalia provides representative services to vessels calling at the Port of Dakar or working in the Senegalese EEZ. As a Marine Agent, we ensure that shipowners are well advised on (and therefore comply with) local authority requirements both before and during their visit to Senegal. Furthermore, Maritalia also prioritizes the interests and requirements of the crew, be it advising them on the availability of local services or providing them with local currency.
Managing a permanent fleet of over 15 vessels, Maritalia understands the importance of having spare parts readily available to ensure the uptime of a vessel. Our specialized personnel can assist our clients in local and international procurement, transit, and custom clearance of both critical and consumable spare parts as well as the installation of these parts with local suppliers.
Since 1988, Maritalia has been a leading shipchandler in the port of Dakar, with our dedicated professional team providing supplies from bonded warehouses to ships and their crews at highly-competitive prices. Most notably, we provide food provisions (including frozen), general consumables, medication, safety equipment and various other goods such as tools, electrical items and mechanical equipment. We are affiliates of both the IMPA and ISSA to ensure best practices.
We support our clients in the staffing of local crew members for their various crew requirements. Using our own network of sailors, as well as those of our partner agencies, we can provide clients with candidates across all positions and local content requirements. Once staffed, we also assist our clients in all administrative aspects of crew management, including payroll management.
